Fairspectrum Oy
Institute of Radiocommunications and Fairspectrum Oy from Finland conduct joint investigation on dynamic spectrum access methods that aim at increase the overall spectral efficiency in future wireless systems. Fruitful collaboration done in recent joint projects, including H2020 COHERENT project, resulted in development of advanced spectrum sharing algorithms between various stakeholders, mainly telecommunications operators, that utilize rich context information about vicinity. Selected solutions have been also verified during hardware measurements and experiments conducted in real networks, mainly in Poland, in Greece and recently in Finland. These constitute the examples of practical implementation of the cognitive radio paradigm.
